Collier Youth Services is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a Leave Replacement position from September through December, 2018. 

Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Department: Collier Middle School, High School, and STAR Program

Status: 32.5 hours per week

Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Position Description:  The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will work together with another COTA to provide students with therapy services under the supervision of a consulting licensed therapist.  This includes adapting the environment, modifying functional tasks, and, if needed, addressing elements of sensory motor performance.

Qualifications:  Certification and licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited COTA program is required.  Bachelor’s degree is preferred, although candidates with a High School diploma will be considered.  Ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 1 year experience providing occupational therapy services to school-aged children, preferably in a school setting or special education.
